This is a video of ‘The Experience’ performing ‘Can’t Help It’ by the incredible Michael Jackson. Arrangement by Esperanza Spalding.
A new supergroup has formed in the heart of Fresno,California. Led by the talented Eva Scow on electric mandolin and Ray Moore on drums and vocals, this group performs an electrifying blend of Jazz and R&B that promises to defy stereotypes and boundaries. With master musicians Mike Taylor on guitar and Patrick Olvera on bass rounding out the band, every performance brings a new energy and spontaneity that lifts them to new musical territory. They perform a wide variety of classics ranging from Michael Jackson’s ‘Can’t Help It’ , Bruce Hornsby’s classic ‘The Way It Is’, to Coltrane’s ‘Impressions’ and beyond. Eva was recently asked to be in rapper Fashawn’s latest video for the song ‘The Ecology’ off of his latest album, ‘Boy Meets World’. Here’s a little bit about Fashawn:
Fashawn has gone on tour quite frequently to promote Boy Meets World, including the “Wizard Of Poetry Tour” with Ghostface Killah, the “How The Grouch Stole Christmas Tour” with Mistah Fab & The Grouch, the “Breakin’ Dawn Tour” with Brother Ali, and has performed overseas in 2009 with Evidence and in February of 2010 with Blu & Exile. In 2010 he was featured on the cover of XXL as part of the XXL Freshman 10 line-up with Nipsey Hussle, Wiz Khalifa, J. Cole, and others.
